چکیده
Existing research on the transit network design problem has tended to focus minimizing various costs for both operators and users. However, implement an appropriate effective in urban environments, it is important not overly simplify intrinsically complex nature of real-life designs. In particular, minimization variance service levels typically employed existing methods can be significantly improved by incorporating a equity component. This paper adopts multiobjective approach that considers system efficiency, user inconvenience, without use weights order more realistic efficient network. Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II neighborhood local search method are logit-based mode-choice model incorporate variable demand arising from private vehicle traffic volume. A toy test city Goyang, Republic Korea, used verify effectiveness proposed model. The finds set solutions improve with minimal losses other objectives when compared approaches, which produce significant level service, mainly due spatially condensed overlapping distribution their networks. addition, relationship between three objective functions resulting patterns response key influential factors also analyzed robustness changing future conditions.

Issues Related to Transit Network Design Problem
Public Transit (P. T) is very important means to reduce traffic congestions, to improve urban environmental conditions and consequently affects people social lives. Planning, designing and management of P. T are the key issues for offering a competitive mode that can compete with the private transportation. These transportation planning, designing and management issues are addressed in the Tran...
متن کاملMulti-objective Evolutionary Algorithm for the Transit Network Design Problem
The transit network design problem (TNDP) aims to find a set of routes and corresponding frequencies for an urban public transportation system. We model the TNDP as a multi-objective combinatorial optimization problem whose resolution involves finding a Pareto front that represents different trade-off levels between opposite objectives, the travel and waiting times and the required fleet of bus...
متن کاملThe Reliability-Based Stochastic Transit Assignment Problem with Elastic Demand
This paper examines the reliability-based stochastic transit assignment problem with elastic demand. A Variational Inequality (VI) model for this problem is developed. The VI model considers capacity, waiting time and in-vehicle travel time as stochastic variables, and includes Spiess and Florian’s (1989) and de Cea and Fernández’s (1993) models as special cases. A reliability-based stochastic ...
متن کاملNetwork design for personal rapid transit under transit-oriented development
This study addresses guideway network design for personal rapid transit (PRT) favoring transit-oriented development. The guideway network design problem seeks to minimize both the guideway construction cost and users’ travel time. In particular, a set of optional points, known as Steiner points, are introduced in the graph to reduce the guideway length. The model is formulated as a combined Ste...

In the context of public transportation system, improving the service quality and robustness through minimizing the average passengers waiting time is a real challenge. This study provides robust stochastic programming models for train timetabling problem in urban rail transit systems. The objective is minimization of the weighted summation of the expected cost of passenger waiting time, its va...
